About the Company Founder

Between 1974 and 1991 Gisela Erler coordinated numerous national and international research projects for the German Youth Institute (DJI). Together with Ellen Galinsky, the current President of the Families and Work Institute in New York, she worked on the first Family & Work study in the US.

Besides her role as CEO of Familienservice, since 1991 Gisela Erler has been a advising various local and regional authorities, foundations and political parties and she is actively involved in a international research project on ‘Leaders in a Global Economy’. On behalf of The Conference Board Europe, Gisela Erler also directed the European Work-Life-Balance, Diversity & Inclusion Council and is responsible for the organization of various international events on these issues. She has published numerous research reports and articles, is married and has two children and three stepchildren.
